Description

#: /usr/local/src/darktable/darktable-1.4.0/doc/usermanual/po/darktable-usermanual_profiled.xml:5541(para)
msgid "This section describes how darktable combines individual masks to form the final mask of a module. Individual masks are the drawn mask and all the single channels of a parametric mask. The topic is rather advanced - if you don't want to go through all the theoretical details just jump down where we describe two typical use cases."

Since there are only a drawn mask and only a parametric mask in each module, I suggest :

msgid "This section describes how darktable combines individual masks to form the final mask of a module. Individual masks are the drawn mask and all the single channels of <<the>> parametric mask. The topic is rather advanced - if you don't want to go through all the theoretical details just jump down where we describe two typical use cases."

#: /usr/local/src/darktable/darktable-1.4.0/doc/usermanual/po/darktable-usermanual_profiled.xml:5939(entry)
msgid "The navigation panel displays a full preview of your image with a rectangle showing the currently visible zoom area. Drag the rectangle around to pan the zoomed-in view. The current zoom scale is displayed to the right of the preview image. Click on that figure for a quick access to some common zoom levels."

For clarification I suggest :

msgid "On the top left hand side the navigation panel displays a full preview of
your image with a rectangle showing the currently visible zoom area in the
central panel ..."
