Description

In very recent development releases the drawn mask has become unavailable.

That's the best feature of the whole program!

Can you put it back, please? :)

Drawn masks unavailable?

No! They are there as before.

I see "only, if..." as the only option in the blend dropdown. I can't see any masking. Maybe I am mad. I am on e8aa21a4d1289a944c207f753182dea3c33f687a and will retry another build today.

Retried on 304ca87bb4b9664562d42e05ce3b0d95332d8ad2 and same deal.

Example attached... no masking visible.

And what is the content of the "blend mode" dropdown? Could you make a screenshot of that, too?

My normal screenshot tool provided by compiz-fusion didn't work for some reason with the dropdown, so I had to install gnome-screenshot and then crop. Anyway, here you are. A fat list, with no signs of drawing.

I am really sure that we did not remove the drawn mask feature from git master :)

It's much more likely that either checked out an old version and built it or you are calling an old binary on your system.

For the first case do 'git branch' which will show the branches and should have an asterisk marking the master branch - if not do 'git checkout master'. For the second option you need to find out which binary is started.

You are right.

My distro had installed darktable to /usr/bin/ or similar and the cd ./build;sudo make install process was going to /opt/darktable/bin/

I uninstalled the distro version and made a symlink.
