I have created an Olympus E-PL3 sensor noise profile - attached to this ticket. Please integrate it with Darktable

heya,

those profiles look good up to ISO 400 and quickly degrade in quality. the script favours fits to parts of the curve where you have many samples (dark areas in your case). unfortunately there seems to be a substantial amount of preprocessing in your camera in exactly those areas. above iso 6400 the noise levels actually look more stable before the transform (straight from cam) than they do after.

maybe it helps taking another set of pictures with a brighter setup, where less pixels are near underexposed. some cameras just violate the assumptions of the noise model too much, these are hopless to profile (don't think this is a classical example of such a camera though).

sorry, the curves are still to far off the data, i don't think it will produce good results :/

There was a noise profile submitted by another user that's recently been merged in issue #10364 so I'm closing this now as no longer needed. Thanks for the submission anyway.
