Description

It looks that we can't use the detect focus feature ('z' in lighttable) on the off-line copy of RAWs. If I plug the USB drive with the original RAW, it works. There should be any problem on using it: a copy of the RAW in located on the main drive.

Any operation requires the original file to be present. This is without a doubt not a bug.

Having any functionality with missing files, could be a requested feature of course.

Maybe I was not clear enough in my description: I'm talking about RAW images marked as off-line (so there is a copy of them in the local hard-drive). The RAW is so available and the "detect focus area" works on the Jpeg thumbnail from the RAW.

Aaah, my bad. It would seem it is a bug then.

We're releasing 1.4.1 very soon, would you mind checking if the issue is reproducable with the new version.

I've just verified that with 1.4.1 package from the unstable PPA the bug is still present.
