Description

See mailing list (http://search.gmane.org/?query=lensfun&author=Jan+Niklas+Fingerle&group=gmane.comp.graphics.darktable.devel&sort=date&DEFAULTOP=and&xFILTERS=Afingerle-Ajan-Aniklas---A)

When querying lensfun with FT lenses, Exif.OlympusEq.LensModel is used, which is too unspecific and will not select the correct lens. A fix for this - at least for the three FT lenses I own - would be to use Exif.OlympusEq.LensType with higher precedence, which works fine with the newest lensfun db, but breaks querying my three MFT lenses. For thoses, either lensfun should use the more precise name, or Exif.Photo.LensModel should take precedence over both Exif.OlympusEq.LensType and Exif.OlympusEq.LensModel, since it seems not to be present in FT, but in MFT lenses.

History

#1 Updated by Torsten Bronger over 6 years ago

Lensfun uses in its current SVN version the lens model names from exiv2's olympusmn.cpp. Effectively, this is the LensType field in exiv2's result.
