Bug #9706

No file extension when export file format is 'copy' in finalizing lua callback

git development version

Description

Here is my luarc:

dt = require "darktable"
function export_callback(storage, exported_img_list)
  dt.print_error("Export finished, postprocessing starts.")
for image, tmp_fn in pairs(exported_img_list) do
    print(image, tmp_fn)
  end
  dt.print_error("Export postprocessing done")
end
dt.register_storage("Generate HDR" ,"generate HDR", nil, export_callback)

The callback lists the full path of original and the exported images. If I set the file format in the 'exported selected' module in lighttable, then extension of the exported filenames is missing.
Here is the output of darktable -d lua:

smb@dt-test:~/.local/tmp$ darktable -d lua
Lua enabled
LUA ERROR Export finished, postprocessing starts.
/media/sf_helyi-storage/Kepek/kepek_eredeti/CR2/2007/2007_12_22_Sanya/SANYA004.CR2 /home/smb/.local/tmp/SANYA004.
/media/sf_helyi-storage/Kepek/kepek_eredeti/CR2/2007/2007_12_22_Sanya/SANYA003.CR2 /home/smb/.local/tmp/SANYA003.
/media/sf_helyi-storage/Kepek/kepek_eredeti/CR2/2007/2007_12_22_Sanya/SANYA002.CR2 /home/smb/.local/tmp/SANYA002.

History

#1 Updated by Attila Gróf about 4 years ago

Changing the target storage to 'file on disk' I get the files properly exported, however the progress indicator prints the filenames without extension. The bug can be observed if darktable is started from the command line. Here is the dump:

[export_job] exported to `/home/smb/Képek/Tifek/IMG_0116.'
[export_job] exported to `/home/smb/Képek/Tifek/IMG_0117.'
[export_job] exported to `/home/smb/Képek/Tifek/IMG_0118.'

The 3 files that I exported are .TIFs this time. I expect to see the extension too.

I believe it is not a lua related bug, however I do not know how to change the category to 'lighttable'.
