History

attached is the output of

darktable -dall

Bump. This is still happening with a brand new, clean build.

I guess this would be called a regression, right?

#3 Updated by Richard Wonka almost 7 years ago

Bump. Any ideas what I can do? I have built from a brand new, clean clone of git-master and removed the prior installation and build tree..

#4 Updated by Richard Wonka almost 7 years ago

here's a logged run and bt full through gdb.

#5 Updated by Richard Wonka almost 7 years ago

This is still happening in current git master

I tried one more and darktable also crashes when I select "add more images" from the same menu.

This is somewhat annoying. Can anyone confirm this? It's a clean build of git-master from scratch every time.

This still happens, here is basic console output and a backtrace:

[export_job] exported to `/home/richard/Pictures/2013/2013-10-11_Phuket night/2013-10-11__1120960.dt_export.jpg'
Could not attach to process. If your uid matches the uid of the target
process, check the setting of /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope, or try
again as the root user. For more details, see /etc/sysctl.d/10-ptrace.conf
ptrace: Operation not permitted.
/media/richard/19496: No such file or directory.
backtrace written to /tmp/darktable_bt_B7HQ4W.txt
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

This is wasting a lot of my time, as I can only filter for one property and then have to select manually. Any Ideas how this could be fixed?

More info on this. I don't know where/how to look for a solution.
Attached the output of a clean build with -d all that is pretty much empty. and the backtrace.

to reproduce:

  1. run darktable -d all | tee dt_dall.out
  2. select "narrow down search in collections module"
  3. watch dt crumple up an die (i.e. crash)

Just ran the same process through gdb with with a bt full at the end.

here is the output
