Description

It would be very useful to be able to sort images in the lighttable in order to create a sequence for e.g. a web gallery or photobook.
At the moment, there are only very clumsy workarounds possible to achieve this.

Manual sort could also make nice use of drag'n'drop in lighttable (or the filmstrip, even)

+1, I'd also like to be able to set an order number.

This number could be used both for sorting photos in Darktable and as an export module variable, like the sequence number (I would use it in the filename to ensure photos are displayed in the order I chose when displayed in a file explorer).

I agree with Richard Wonka. Professional photographers must have drag and drop manual sort options. Darktable is great, but this is a serious omission that is so easily fixed.
