Description

Darktable 1.2.2 on OSX 10.7.5
Clicking the 'login' button for facebook web album in the export tab of lighttable does not pop up the browser like it should. Therefore there is no way to login to Facebook using darktable. The flickr one pops up a browser fine, but the facebook one does nothing.

Just replace /Applications/darktable.app/Contents/Resources/share/applications/defaults.list file with this one (or edit it as it's done in commit linked above): https://raw.github.com/darktable-org/darktable/master/packaging/macosx/defaults.list
Can you confirm that it's enough for facebook export to work?

That results in Safari opening to Facebook, but it doesn't produce a URL that i can post into the popup in darktable.
Safari ends at the following URL:
https://www.facebook.com/connect/blank.html#_=_
which darktable will not accept.
I tried digging through the history in Safari to find the URL that redirects to the above but i didn't have any luck so i couldn't test the export i'm afraid.

Thanks

  • System changed from Mac OS X to all
  • % Done changed from 50 to 10
  • Assignee deleted (Igor Kuzmin)
  • Status changed from In Progress to Confirmed
  • Category set to Lighttable
  • Subject changed from can't authenticate Facebook on mac version to can't authenticate Facebook exporter

Just tested both on Linux and OS X and I can confirm that you get that useless URL in the end. So Facebook exporter is currently broken independent of user's OS. That's not my area, let's wait for someone who knows this stuff.

Just FYI, you can find the correct URL in browser history, it seems like Facebook redirects to the 'useless URL' after visiting the correct one.

#5 Updated by Tobias Ellinghaus over 6 years ago

Does anyone have an idea what to do?

#6 Updated by Roman Lebedev about 3 years ago

  • % Done changed from 20 to 100
  • Target version set to 2.2.0
  • Status changed from Triaged to Fixed

Seems to be working currently.
