Description

Arrow keys should be used to move the selected image in lighttable view instead of scrolling (or at least be able to assign a keyboard shortcut to it). It would be much easier for a keyboard only workflow while in lighttable view.

Yes, it's can be useful to move with arrows.
For not confusing too many people, it's will be great to be able to have both working ( scrolling & arrows)

Yes i agree. Both shortcuts should exist and be customizable. My suggestion would be to use arrow keys to move selection and shift+arrow keys to scroll.

In the file manager mode of the lighttable, the arrow keys should behave like they do in most file managers:

  • arrow keys move selection
  • <shift>+arrow selects range
  • [home] selects first image
  • [end] selects last image

#4 Updated by Jérémy Rosen almost 5 years ago

  • bitness set to 64-bit
  • System set to all
  • Affected Version set to git development version
  • Parent task set to #8834
  • Status changed from New to Duplicate

should be solved in master now, but technically a dup of 8834
