Darktable 1.2 crash on going to the next photo in the film (a space or a click)
Ubuntu 13.04 (upgraded from 12.10) 32bit, darktable 1.2 stable. Crash on going to the next photo in the film (a space or a click) not always, but very often. In terminal:
Could not attach to process. If your uid matches the uid of the target
process, check the setting of /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope, or try
again as the root user. For more details, see /etc/sysctl.d/10-ptrace.conf

#1 Updated by Simon Spannagel about 7 years ago
- % Done changed from 0 to 20
- Target version set to Candidate for next minor release
- Status changed from New to Incomplete
this is most likely your kernel blocking GDB. Just try to run darktable from GDB and try to reproduce the bug:
$ gdb darktable (gdb) run

In version 1.3+1069~g79488d8 darktable not crush jn going to the next photo, but it have memory leaks (?)
First pic exporting quickly, second pic exporting slowly, and on third photo (if I use noise reduction and/or many masks) — I get message «Can't export, low memory».
