Description

I often use the preview (default shortcut 'z') to rate/cull images, so I press and hold 'z' and assign ratings and colour labels while holding 'z'.

Since #8772 was fixed (thanks for that), this rates the current selection instead of the image i am looking at in the preview.

While I see the logic in the current behaviour, I think that it is more intuitive to affect the previewed picture when rating and labelling while previewing.

I second this.

I found this behavior quite surprising after upgrading. I want to be able to quickly go through a set of photos and pick out the ones I like - so I have to be careful not to accidentally select an image, because the moment I do so, my ratings will be assigned to the selected image, not to the one I'm currently viewing.

PS. Darktable is awesome! Keep up the good work guys!
