lens correction enhancement - amount of correction
The common camera models have the option of low, medium and high correction of vignetting. The lens correction module does not have any "amount value" for vignetting and distortion correction. It may be interesting to allow user choose the magnitude of the applied corrections. As an example - the full vignetting correction can be unpleasant, albeit correct, while partial correction can have the right perceptual appearance.

For artistical purposes we have a seperate module which allows you to apply any kind of vignetting you want (and to whatever degree you'd want).
Considering the above, we're probably not too keen on complicating the UI of the lens correction module any further.

You are right, but it is hard to mimic the natural vignetting of an lens. The point was to allow to controll the amount of all the corrections. Maybe this feature is not the one which can be implemented in a short time because it requires rethinking of the UI and probably new widgets.

I have done a lot of vignetting calibration recently. My observation was that there is no really typical light falloff curve that one could mimic. They differ heavily, and they can do very crazy things. So I think the following approach is okay:
- Correct lens vignetting automatically and fully.
- Add manual vignetting effect.
