Description

I've been using Darktable mainly for compositing work. I would love to be able to work fullscreen and never leave, but I can't. Every time I hook in my camera, I need to minimize darktable and bring up a file manager to unmount my camera the go back to darktable. It slows me down and I can't imagine it looks great in front of a client if you're on a shoot and having to do it a ton. It would be awesome if there was some kind of module that would allow you to manually unmount the camera from inside darktable. I assume it would have to show any and all mounted devices, but maybe you could filter non cameras out via a repository of known devices that are cameras.

You could also disable auto mounting of the camera I guess. Still set to triaged.

In case of OS X, it's not auto-mount that blocks access to camera, but auto-spawn PTPCamera process. So it's a more general problem than just unmounting.
What I'm trying to say is that we have to decide either we blame OS/DE or introduce some general workaround inside darktable.
