Description

Hello,
I can work with most of my RAW files from my Lumix DMC FZ50, but some cannot be open with Darktable.
It's give "pink lines" on the screen.
I upgrade to Darktable 1.1.3 : don't solve the problem.

Here is a link with a RAW photo I cannot open with Darktable :

I work on Ubuntu Linux 12.10.

Thanks ;-)

I can reproduce the problem. This will require some looking into.

I can confirm this bug. For me this occurs with about half of my images in darktable 1.2 and the latest git version on ArchLinux. Other tools are able to open all images without problems. Any idea how I could help to improve this situation?

I have done some more research on this bug and found that for me the problem only occurs with images which are rotated to portrait format (so by 90 degrees). The same is the case for the provided example image in the bug opening message. Maybe this helps. I have also checked all external raw libraries. Other programs using the rawspeed, dcraw or LibRaw libraries are able to open successfully all the images.

Hello Peter,
I just made some photos today.
You are right !
Seem that only portrait photos (vertical) have this problem.

Thanks for your help.

Does this still happen with recent git compiles?

Maybe it was issue #10025
If anyone still able to reproduce, feel free to reopen.

Hello, unfortunately I can still reproduce the "pink garbage". Darktable v.2.0.4 raw import from pana dmc fz50 is way too dark and megenta. :(
