Description

When switching to half-size raw thumbnails, every image which gets processed through the preview pipeline is marked as touched with the two applied modules "basecurve" and "sharpen". Even though strictly speaking this is correct but in my opinion not really useful for the user who wants to find out which images he/she already processed.

History

I don't consider this to be an issue (it's actually a feature :)

The history stack should ideally explicitly contain all adjustments applied to the RAW.

Any implicit adjust outside of the history stack may change in future versions of Darktable and thus may retroactively affect already processed images, without warning.

Adding autoapplied presets to the history stack prevents this problem from occuring.

I totally agree with you that those iops should be in history. The only thing that bugs is that this way all images get already the "history: altered" only by generating the thumbnail from raw without opening it on dr once.

Any update on this? Also, shouldn't the "darktable|changed" tag be applied only when something is changed in the Darkroom rather than as soon as the image is opened in the Darkroom?
