"don't use embedded jpeg but half-size raw" results in touched history
When switching to half-size raw thumbnails, every image which gets processed through the preview pipeline is marked as touched with the two applied modules "basecurve" and "sharpen". Even though strictly speaking this is correct but in my opinion not really useful for the user who wants to find out which images he/she already processed.

I don't consider this to be an issue (it's actually a feature :)
The history stack should ideally explicitly contain all adjustments applied to the RAW.
Any implicit adjust outside of the history stack may change in future versions of Darktable and thus may retroactively affect already processed images, without warning.
Adding autoapplied presets to the history stack prevents this problem from occuring.
