Description

Hi,
I used exiftool to GPS info in the following way:

$ exiftool -GPSLongitude=153.1129067040771 -GPSLatitude=-27.4898958208765 -GPSAltitude=0 IMGP0771.JPG
Warning: [minor] Duplicate XMP property: exif:ResolutionUnit - IMGP0771.JPG
1 image files updated

However, IMGP0771.JPG caused darktable 1.1.2 to crash, but the orginal image (without GPS) I can load without any problems in darktable (Please find attached the two images).

Is there any work around to be still able to open the image in darktable, because Rawtherapee open the image just fine.

Thank you in advance.

I fixed the crash, however you will not see the images tagged like that on the map. You have to add GPSLongitudeRef and GPSLatitudeRef, too.

I've cherry picked Tobias' fix to our darktable-1.1.x branch which is the staging environment for our next patch release (1.1.3).

If you happen to be using Ubuntu, I've pushed a test build (1.1.2+44) to my Unstable PPA (current it's queued for building, it'll likely be done in a few hours):
