Description

When I download the "experimental darktable OS X image" from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/darktable/files/darktable/1.1/darktable-1.0+1272~gd1e162a.dmg/download
and install the application darktable.app from it and double-click it to start, darktable crashes immediately in the startup process. I will attach the log file generated by MacOS X for the crash.

System and machine used: MacOS X 10.6.8 on MacBook Pro (2010), Processor: 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory: 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3, 60 GB free space on startup volume, more free disk space available on external FireWire hard drive(s).

Setting the preferred UI language to English in the System Preferences does not change the situation (still crashes).

Please also try this: http://darktable.org/redmine/issues/8879#note-5

I tried the shell command (adapting it for my installation to

  echo unset LANG LC_ALL LC_COLLATE LC_MONETARY > /Applications/darktable.app/Contents/Resources/environment.sh

), but it does not change the situation: darktable still crashes on startup, and the error message/log file is identical, so it still crashes in the same place.

Please continue in bug report #8879, this one is marked as duplicate. I've posted a comment there with disk image update.
