Description

I'm hoping to tether my Nikon D90 to darktable 1.0.4, running on an Ubuntu 12.04 laptop.

I followed the instructions on this page:

http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/darktable/wiki/CaptureCameraSupport

And all the gphoto2 commands worked as expected. In darktable, though, I still get the "no camera with tethering support available for use..." message.

The camctl.log file referenced in the SourceForge wiki is attached. The most relevant lines seem to be:

[camera_control] gphoto2 error: This camera does not offer any configuration options.
[camera_control] gphoto2 error: This camera does not support summaries.

Thanks for all your awesome work on darktable!

camctl.log (588 Bytes) camctl.log Ran `darktable -d camctl 2>1 >camctl.log` and clicked on the Tethering view in darktable. Michael Clayton, 07/08/2012 07:48 PM

hmm, I have a d90 and don't have any problem... did you try unmounting the camera (assuming it is auto-mounted, it usully is) and then tryto look for it in darktable

Yes, it is unmounted. It has to be unmounted for the gphoto2 commands to work.
