Description

It would be useful to add the option of sorting collections by any of the keys available for filtering. (time, film roll, rights, camera ..)

This could be achieved by adding an item to the collection menu:
  • clear this rule
  • narrow down search
  • add more images
  • exclude images
  • sort results (or "sort collection"?)

Sort results would then give a drop down list to select any one of the fields available for filtering.

I'm guessing this could also be fairly easily implemented.

Hello, I'm not sure if it's the same but I think I've asked for this feature too some years ago https://redmine.darktable.org/issues/9641#change-31142 . A year ago they've changed target to v. 2.2 but we're at 2.2 and the feature isn't there :( Sad, for my studio it's the only feature blocking me from using Darktable for years already. I don't know if it's hard or easy to implement, maybe it's just low demand for that feature..
