Description

I'm not sure how it works, but the Unity HUD in Ubuntu 12.04 is fabulous!

If you don't know it, run 12.04, press [Alt] and start typing.

the HUD seems to scan menu entries and you can then get those actions by simply pressing [Alt] and then typing what you want to do. It's brilliant and I'm using this more and more.

Not sure what it takes, but being able to use the HUD to take snapshots, got to high-pass filters or apply a preset, that would be extremely cool

I don't think that we will support HUD, but you could try vimkeys. Just press : and type your command. Maybe that helps.

If anyone thinks we should support HUD feel free to reopen the ticket.
