Description

There are errors in tiff files exported from darktable 0.9.2 which are reported when opening such files in gimp (2.6.10).
First, gimp pops up a message window with warnings and error messages similar to what is reported in ticket [#8473], see first attached screenshot.
Second, the files contain 2 pages and gimp asks the user to select them for import, see second attached screenshot. Page 1 contains the actual image and page 2 cannot be opened in gimp.

History

#1 Updated by Simon Spannagel about 8 years ago

confirmed, Gimp 2.6 is unable to import 8bit TIFF exported by darktable.
The file still contains two pages. Only opening the first gives the image but trying to open both or the second gives the error messages mentioned above.

At least I can no longer trigger this bug (using both GIMP 2.8.6 and a recent compile from git) with a git compile of dt. It seems someone fixed it somewhere.
