Description

This would allow displaying images from all other collections that are within a certain temporal- or geo-spatial distance range (1 week, 1 month, 1 year, forever; resp. 10m, 100m, 1km, 10km).

Mor fancy filters are images with similar colors, subjects, tags or even plugin metadata etc. (but from all collections).

For example this would allow me to instantly find all images that I developed as b&w from all my collections in case I want to copy a (part of) specific history from one of them to my current image.

Some of the mentioned features are already implemented. The lt and filmstrip mode is not restricted to show one collection.

Just use the "collection" plugin (left panel in lighttable mode) to filter ALL of your images according to the tags/flags/metadata that is shown there. furthermore it is possible to exclude/add/filter images more by adding new filter rules in the plugin.

All shown in lighttable mode is shown in filmstrip when entering darkroom mode.

Is that what you meant?
Of course the pissibilities here could be expanded (I think someone worked on a "similarity" branch that could bring the "similar colors / subjects" feature, but not sure how far that got)

The similarity branch is pretty finished and you can match images with weighted lightmap / colormap and histogram, the intentions are to merge this in post-0.9 very soon.

Did this ever happen?

  • System set to all
  • Status changed from In Progress to New
  • Affected Version set to git master branch
  • % Done changed from 50 to 0
  • Assignee deleted (Henrik Andersson)

The time/geo spatial filter wasn't added, similarity on histogram was merged and removed later as it never really worked.
