Snapshots of other than the actual image
While using snapshots I found that they stay in the snapshot stack even if I change the file to edit by using the film strip at the bottom.
In my opinion only the snapshots of the image to edit should be displayed, so I consider this to be a bug.

It seems that this is kind of a feature (even though it makes very little sense to me).
16:58 < hanatos> the idea is that you can compare snapshots across images
16:58 < hanatos> so they all appear in this list
16:58 < tony2001> erm
16:58 < hanatos> and storing snapshots anywhere is not a good solution
16:58 < tony2001> what's the point?
16:58 < hanatos> side by side comparisons between different images for example
16:58 < tony2001> if the images are different (and they are in most cases), then comparing them makes no sense to me..
17:00 < hanatos> if anyone was to rewrite the snapshot module
17:00 < hanatos> .. it would probably need a bit more than just that.
17:00 < pmjdebruijn> being able to compare different images via snapshot can also be a bit of a hack
17:00 < hanatos> http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/darktable/wiki/GSOC_idea_list
17:00 < pmjdebruijn> to compare different images :)
17:00 < pmjdebruijn> unedited :)
17:01 < tony2001> hmmm
17:01 < pmjdebruijn> though it can be confusing most of the time

I support the notion that this is a bug, as it is bugging me.
Darkroom mode is about working with one picture only. Lighttable is about comparison and culling, etc..
I end up resetting the snapshots when this happens.
Please see also #8769 for a proposed solution.
