Description

When using Darktable 2.6.1 on windows with OpenCL, PPG demosaic causes dithering that, at lower zoom levels, appears as desaturation.

Another bug report, #12283, was filed about this and it was ruled to be an upstream issue. However, that did not make note of the fact that, when zoomed in, it becomes very clear that there is some sort of dithering going on.

It turns out that updating to the latest NVidia drivers (instead of using those that come with Windows) resolved this issue.

EDIT: upon further examination, the issue still occurs and is identical using newest NVidia drivers. I had merely been examining an image that did not use PPG.

Would it be possible for darktable to test for such incorrect OpenCL behavior and automatically disable OpenCL in that case?
