Description

Raw photographs from Canon powershot G12 and G15 (.CR2 extension) have consistently reported focus distances incorrectly in "image information" and in the module "lens correction" (in the attached file example , 80.0m instead of the correct one 0.8m or 80cm reported for instance by exiftool).

It seems that in darktable the reported focus distance from exif is in cm instead of metres (or multiplied by 100.

As this parameter is used for some lens corrections, it should be adequately extracted from exif information (or corrected accordingly dividing the number by 100 if expresed in metres).

Sorry for the delay answering, but I have been only able to install version 2.6.0 in windows today (I only have windows PC).
The photos I used for reference still have the same focus distance. The one I attached to the first message still shows 80 metres instead of a more realistic 0.8 metres.

You need to remove it and import again for the focus distance to be recalculated.
