Description

I find the current darktable culling abilities very limited.
The related feature request has not been changed since four years, therefore I ask kindly to revisit it:

A software with a good culling behaviour should provide:
- Speed
- Side by side comparison
- Lupe functionality
- Make use of available window size

Culling process needs side by side comparison possibility and also a focus check, e.g. via a lupe zoom on mouse over as capture one provides.
Also to access the color codes is nice, but there should be the possibility to assign a color code via a shortcut.
Images should fit into available window space and size as big as possible for the number of images one wants to compare.

Colour labels are bound to the F1 to F5 keys by default, is this what you mean? What exactly does “Make use of available window size” mean? Your description is somehow vague. With the other points I agree :).
