Static "Filtering and sort order" selection window.
The little window which pops up, when the filtering or sorting options ([[https://www.darktable.org/usermanual/en/filtering_and_sort_order.html]]) are used, is placed relative to the current selection.
An example: If the current selection in the filtering option is "all" the little window is placed such that "all" is at the same height as the cursor. In case of "all" the window opens downwards, showing all other options. In case the current selection is "all except rejected" the window opens upwards. The top options are now not visible and the lower part of the windows is blacked out.
To get to the top options the user needs to scroll, which just seems unnecessary.
The solution would involve static windows, which are allays opened at the same position, independent of the current selection.
