Description

This module, sometimes produces very strange artifacts. I'm attaching a screenshot and the DNG files.
I tried different demosaic algorithms and highlight reconstruction parameters without results.
Also, switching on and off OpenCl has no results

Hi,

I have tested your picture and history. In the highlight reconstruction module, you use the mode "recontruct color". Sometimes, it gives this weird result.

Instead, use the "reconstruct in LCh" and you may add the module "color reconstruction" as well. See the xmp I provide in attachment.

No algorithm is perfect, they all have side effects, and that's why tricky algorithms generally have alternative in darktable. It's always a good idea to test the alternatives first to see if it solves your problem.

I close that since it's a problem of editing method rather than software.
