Description

It would be nice to support this new mirrorless from Canon. I uploaded a RAW file to https://raw.pixls.us. So far as I can say, RAW files with other aspect ratios are the same and data about crop is kept in metadata. However if necessary, I can upload them as well.

Here are the camera specs: https://www.canon.co.uk/cameras/eos-m100/specifications/ Let me know if some additional data is needed.

Thank you!

Please take one slightly overexposed raw (of anything) per every iso level that can be selected in camera (including all any sub-iso steps, if any; and extended hi/low iso, if any), upload that as one archive somewhere (not rpu, maybe dropbox or something), and link it here.
I will take it from there.

Here's the file: http://tomaszg.pl/m100-sample.tgz I tried to make them overexposed enough to be sure that raw data is also clipped. I hope I didn't overdo it :) Some are shaken, since I didn't have time to do that in daylight.

For RPU, please upload some better sample; outside, something landscape-y, more properly exposed.

Thanks for the fast update. Works nicely.

However I can't make Lensfun module to recognize the body. Updated the Lensfun database file by hand (/usr/share/lensfun/version_1/mil-canon.xml) , but it doesn't show up in Darktable (However Digikam seems to pick it up correctly). No info in Darktable debug log, no stale versions of Lensfun lib or db present. I'm probably missing something obvious. BTW. Sort order on the list of cameras in DT is a bit weird.

I'll try to get a nicer sample, however outside weather is not good enough to have a sample which would be better than the one I uploaded - grey snow and grey sky :) However I don't know what's the issue with exposition on the one I uploaded - looks correct to me. I'll try to upload something better when the weather clears up. I'll also try to compute noise profiles.

Here are the noise profiles. I hope I did it correctly.

Their effect seems much weaker than bundled profiles for Canon EOS 7D I was using before. With 7D I had to use strength around 0.2 or 0.3, to get decent result, here 1.0 is optimal but I have to go up to 2.0 sometimes. I guess that is a correct behaviour and I wonder if profiles for 7D are wrong.

I still don't know how I can make anything more properly exposed than the sample I uploded.
