variable height in tagging panel
The tagging panel is getting less useful if you have more than 5 tags (which i do).
As there's enough space free to enlarge the height of this panel (tag entries) when closing the other panels, it should be possible to "maximize" the height n order to have more entries directly clickable instead of scrolling down. This is really annoying and the reason i'm currently using other software to do the tagging thing.
In former versions of DT (1.4) i found some "secret" preferences (size of fonts etc.) that were only accessible via gconf, maybe ther is already such an option (haven't found yet)?

A few das ago, i checked out the darktable git and tried few things myself, but didn't have success yet.
looked interesting, but neither in
i found appropriate places to edit and the darktable.css doesn't seem to have an influence of the entity "container" or "right panel" items as well.

Variable-height is useful for other panels too. "Collect images" panel may show list of folders or list of film rolls, both lists can be quite long, but panel is able to display only 10-12 folders or rolls, leaving much room on the display unused. It would be nice if such panels can utilize all available space.

A slightly different topic (new feature request?), but displaying more than one panel at a time would be very useful too.
In lighttable i often find myself switching between image information and collect panel when searching for certain images and i'd like to see both of them at a time.
