Description

I shoot images in batches, until a memory card is full.
Then I grab another card, delete the old images from it, and fill it up over the course of many shoots, just like the first card.
And I rotate through my cards until I'm ready to shoot on the first card again.
This style of shooting means that when I insert a memory card into my PC, and I tell darktable to scan the "camera", it reads all of the images on the card, in the order in which they were shot.
On a large card, this can mean that it takes ages before it actually gets to the images I've just shot today.
Is there any way a feature could be implemented that would force darktable to read the card in reverse chronological order (i.e. from the last image written to the card, and then backwards from there)?
This would mean that you could select the recent images without having to wait for the import dialogue box to generate a thumbnail for every image on the card.
