Description

`Point` color picker is in many situations useless, however it's the default one. Moreover, the state resets for each IOP. At the end, in many cases selection of 'area' type is needed, what give quite bad UX. It would be nice to have option to persist the last used state.

Actually color picker is saving its last selected value to the config setting "ui_last/colorpicker_size" - 0 is for point, 1 is for area picker.

As I see the problem is that some IOPs are hardcoded to initiate a point type color picker (ir tone curve, levels, color zones) while other IOPs are hardcoded to use area type color picker (like monochrome, exposure). So what would be needed is to standardize the approach, and depending on the value of "ui_last/colorpicker_size", each IOP should handle that in a uniform way.
