Description

I would like to be able to select the area of focus in a mask.

My use case is a smarter denoising which prioritises out-of-focus areas. For example, see one of my images at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Eolophus_roseicapilla_in_flight,_Albury_NSW.jpg

Being able to select the out-of-focus regions would be invaluable for denoising them in pictures like this - I don't want to lose the gritty detail on the bird.

Photoshop already has this ability, for instance: https://petapixel.com/2012/09/03/use-focus-peaking-in-photoshop-to-select-in-focus-areas-of-a-photo/
