Camera Support #11458
Olympus PEN-F Support (e.g. in Lens Correction)
Hello Dear Developers of Darktable,
I've uploaded a sample raw file for the PEN-F to https://raw.pixls.us/getfile.php/857/raw/H1130004.ORF
Since I use that often, it would be great if the PEN-F would
be supported in the "Lens Correction" module.
My current workaround is to choose the Olympus E-P5, but I am not
sure if that provides the best correction ... and it of course
not as smooth as an automatic detection.
If I can support it with more data I'm motivated to help,
but I'm <del>a doctor, not a mechanic</del>
a sysadmin, not a software developer (and not deep in this project),
so I'd need clear instructions what to do.
I am running currently darktable 2.2.0 130.6 on opensuse tumbleweed,
from the graphics repository - I know this is not the most current version.
But I haven't seen any additions of PEN-F stuff in in the release notes
of your latest version.

That is lensfun issue. If it can not be manually selected from that list, then it is lensfun's issue.
Is it listed on http://lensfun.sourceforge.net/lenslist/ ? If yes, then lensfun-update-data may help, if your lensfun version is recent-enough.
Else report this to lensfun.

Sorry for bothering you (I were not aware that that is another project) and thank you for pointing me to the correct direction.
Actually (if one knows where to look) one can add as temporary solution for this
a small addition to the camera database of lensfun:
<lensdatabase version="1"> <camera> <maker>Olympus Imaging Corp.</maker> <maker lang="en">Olympus</maker> <model>PEN-F</model> <mount>Micro 4/3 System</mount> <cropfactor>2.0</cropfactor> </camera> </lensdatabase>
And now I go and bother the nice people of lensfun to include that camera ...
