Description

to further work towards a consistent vocabulary, there is an inconsistency in the lua interface in
https://www.darktable.org/lua-api/index.html.php#darktable_films

Using the term "film roll" instead of folder - i.e. calling something what it isn't instead of what it actually is - is an idiosyncrasy in itself.

Consistent use of the term will help users work with this little oddity. :-)

I agree, using "films" is not good. I don't know if the API should still be changed though.

About "folder" vs. "film roll", the differentiation is on purpose. We use "folder" when we mean the file system structure on disk. When we talk about film rolls then we mean the folder imported into darktable. The difference being that you can copy files into your folder, delete things, rename them, ... while the film roll isn't directly affected.
