Description

I get this weird problem when trying to work with Canon 80D RAW files.
As you can see in the attached screenshot, the image used is not being rendered correctly.
I've also attached the RAW file used.

Not sure if something is wrong with my camera or it's just a bug.
Just tell me if you need more samples.

Thank you,
Liran

What version of Darktable are you using?
Your raw image opens just fine for me, I also own a Canon 80D, and have close to 10k pictures from it that all load as they should.

I tried to open the same image (downloaded the attachment) with the stable 2.2.0 release, and still no change.
There is a chance that the file is corrupted, as other pictures are rendered correctly (But I still have more pictures that doesn't render correctly).
I don't understand how the picture is shown fine at your machine.
Mind sharing a screenshot?

The picture is not longer opening correctly for me on DT 2.2.1. Not sure whats going on with it. I think I was running DT 2.1.x at the time I tested that image. Also, the DT project is in the process of cleaning up the code for CR2 files. I just gave them a couple samples for the 80D.

A few more samples would not hurt, just to know that it is not a random file corruption.
Also, this raw is directly from camera, manually copied from card/camera, without using any software, and it was not modified in any way (exiftool, exiv2, digikam, etc)?

I tried processing it with dcraw, same result. dcraw even reports: Corrupt data near 0x8d4001.

@Liran: is that image straight out of camera? does that happen with all the images from camera?

It did not happen with all the images.
Probably my card or my card reader are dying (At least I hope it's not a problem with the camera itself).
