Description

Current behavior

EXIF data is included in JPEG exports and there is no option to strip EXIF data when exporting a group of images.

Problem

Removal of EXIF data from a group of JPEG images requires post-processing to remove EXIF details.

Proposal

Create an option to clear EXIF data from JPEG images in the Export module.

Is there any support for this functionality (i.e., merging code if provided)?

This question was asked in IRC, but the channel was quiet.

In risk that I get punished here ;-). As Fedora ships LUA now as well. I made a LUA script, which calls the exiftool after the export.

But it is really a dirty hack. Use it at your own risk:

It may work with local file export, but not with e.g flickr export as lua call's are async calls (upload starts before exiftool is done)

I second that. I think this is important especially for GPS-tagged pictures published online.
