Description

The Fujifilm X-Pro2 has the same sensor, the same processor and the same internals as the Fuji X-T2. Firmware is nearly identical for both cameras. The differences in the cameras lie elsewhere (EVF, 4K video, manual controls and dials). I would then suggest that base curve and noise profiles available for the X-T2 be also made available for the X-Pro2. I notice that this is the case with the X100S and X100T cameras: they share the same base curve and the same noise profile.

X-Pro2 is supported as far as i can tell.
Only compressed raw is not supported.

Yes, it is. What I meant is that the two cameras should share the same camera-specific base curve (if that's available for either camera) and especially the same noise profile (if that's available for either camera).

I'm not seeing any custom basecurve for either of those.
https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/blob/master/src/iop/basecurve.c#L159-L187

Also, for reasons i have wrote more than once (lack of verification for generated curve, no volunteers), we do not merge any new custom base/tone curves...

Maybe after i finish moving wb presets to json, custom base/tone curves should be moved to json too, to simplify using them without recompilation...

and especially the same noise profile (if that's available for either camera).

As it was said on the mail list already, no, not really, they don't need/have to share that.
Because in order to verify that they can share the noiseprofile, you'd need to make both profiles and then compare them
And once you have both profiles, you can just use both of them, no need to share.

Note: for local personal usage you can of course duplicate/make them share anything you want.

Thank you, Roman. I just want to add that I copied the X-T2 noise profile with the appropriate renaming and tested it on X-Pro2 images. It works perfectly well (as expected).

Do you have that camera still?
If yes, please upload a full (compressed+uncompressed raw) sample set to https://raw.pixls.us
The scene should be static, and the camera should be stable.

Done. I've just uploaded the two RAW files (uncompressed and compressed).
