Hello there,

Attached is a noise profile for the x-m1 camera, generated following instructions on darktable website. All seems OK to me, both judging by eyes and using the benchmark script.
Keep up the good work!

Hi,

the results look good. I think the images for ISO200-2500 can still be improved, hihger iso results are better. Your images is 60% underexposed area and 15% overexposed. You can test if the results get better if you have smaller under- and overexposed areas and more between. I like to update the description of generating noise profile with more examples and this would be a good test. Can I use your images for this?

Which version of darktable was used for noise profile calculation?

Hi Stefan,

I did pull the noise tools from git repo around 29/30th oct. so I can't tell what was the version of darktable exactly. The tools folder is not packaged for me (ubuntu).

To make new profiles, I pulled again the tools today (different machine) but I had a hard time to get it working. At best I could have red and green fit that seem OK but not blue. I'll try again during next week or week-end, I could not find a proper source of light today anyway.

If you plan on rewrite the tutorial, I'd suggest to add the information of where to find the tools and also to specify what format should be used for exporting images once the raw linear style has been applied. I used tiff 32 bits.

more interesting is darktable-cli --version

Exporting of images is not necessary any more, use only your raw files.

I finally found some time to take some new pictures with my X-M1 and rerun the profiling script. Attached are the new results.
