Description

I keep all my photos on my NAS, and access them over an SMB share (or AFP, or SSHFS). I commonly load up folders with 900 files in both raw and jpeg versions. When I do this, the thumbnails in lighttable view randomly appear and disappear. I attached a screenshot of the app in a typical state. (Images continue to randomly appear and disappear.)

I assume this has something to do with the caching scheme, or the way that thumbnails are generated. Either way, it would be very helpful to either fix this (ideal), or at least provide a message about what's happening. (E.g. "building thumbnails".)

Any idea why this may be happening? I'm using the binary in the Debian 8 repo. I'll try installing a newer version and see if this still applies.
