Description

The Ricoh Pentax K1 camera supports taking pictures using their PixelShift technology. The camera takes 4 images each shifted by one pixel and combines it into one large raw file. As far as I can see, darktable can open the larger raw files, but I guess it ignores the 3 appended raw files. I have already uploaded raw files to rawsamples.ch (names are new-Pentax_K1_Pixelshift*), but just in case, they are also on http://robert.pixelbert.com/darktable/. A PixelShift image can be made with motion correction on or off.

I hope someone is curious about this technology and will implement this feature, because maybe this can be used with using separate shots from other cameras, too. If you want, I can also provide out-of-cam jpgs to really see the great difference in sharpness and noise.
