Description

Hello,

the P65+ digital back is actually not supported by DT 2.0.5 ("unknown format" error).
Here on WeTransfer are the raw IIQ file and the DNG file of the same pic:

I hope they are useful.

The images are not available any more, but I found samples at https://captureintegration.com/phase-one-tests/
Please upload a sample also to www.rawsamples.ch.

I have some troubles with white point settings for this camera. Can you also provide an overexposed image (all white: >10sek, lowest ISO)?

Hello!
Yes, I have re-uploaded at rawsamples.ch via e-mail all the pics, including the one fully white.
Please let me know if you need other shots (for denoising, base curve, etc).

Regards

I tried to add basic support. I committed it to my branch on https://github.com/schenlap/darktable/tree/phase_one
As the result is not good (colors are wrong and some brightness artefacts) I won't add a pull request but maybe someone else can fix it.

I noticed that dcraw develops very well the raw files of the P65+, although officially it is not in the list of supported cameras. Perhaps dcraw.c could provide some useful inspiration.

  • Affected Version changed from 2.0.5 to git master branch
There are some changes happening.
If you still have the Phase One P65+, it would be super great if you could contribute the full sample set to the https://raw.pixls.us/
I think there are at least 4 samples total:
  • IIQ L, full resolution capture mode
  • IIQ S, full resolution capture mode
  • IIQ L, SENSOR+
  • IIQ S, SENSOR+

All the samples need to have the exact same content, so tripod + static scene.

Hi Roman,

thank you for your interest in this issue. Unfortunately I don't have the back P65+ anymore, but of course I have several raw files taked with it, including a set to create the denoise profile. However they are all in IIQ L mode only; can they be useful?

We already have IIQ L and IIQ L SENSOR+ samples, so thank you, but i think those would not be of any additional help.

I uploaded a new full set of phase one IIQ raw for the P65+, as mentioned above. Is it possible to have the support in darktable?

#10 Updated by gathy dimitri 6 months ago

As i get it, i'm gonna work on the noise profile & three lenses profiles. I always had a home made ICC sensor profile.

Are you sure those 4 samples is the full and complete set?

Is it possible to have the support in darktable?

I compiled darktable with the rawspeed-develop. I have the phase one decompressor in the srs/external...decompressors. The compilation succeeded. Darktable doesn't recognize the phase one IIQ raw! Do i make a mistake?

I don't know what os you have, but i'd check if there is an existing build on https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=graphics%3Adarktable%3Amaster&package=darktable

I found the mistake! It works perfectly!

I have a strange issue with the IQ raw in 2 versions of darktable (2.6.0 & nightbuild) on ubuntu studio 18.10 & 18.04. In the darkroom & saved files (tiff, png, jpeg), the image is cut just in the middle, in 2 different color renditions, one is colder than the other.

Probably some other metadata tag is not being applied.
Don't necropost, file a new bug, and do attach the raw itself.
