Description

I attach a RAW sample from a production Fuji X70.
The photo is captured by myself and I place it in the public domain.

Compared to the X-Pro2 only uncompressed RAW files are supported by the camera.
The camera is based on the same X-Trans2 sensor used in the X100S but has its own lens design.

If necessary I can capture further images, e.g. with different white balance settings.

I've added basic support for the camera now, should be out with the next release of darktable. Please submit a raw sample to rawsamples.ch as well. If you want to add WB presets all we need are a sample raw file per each of the WB presets. For a noise profile we need a sample file per ISO level taken out of focus and including everything from pure white to pure black (clipping).

Dear Pedro,

thanks so much for this. I did record a whitebalance sweep here (211 MB):

http://www.nowozin.net/sebastian/tmp/Fuji-X70-Whitebalance-Sweep.7z

I also recorded an ISO sweep here through all supported ISO values (200 to 6400).
As I have read that the Fuji "dynamic range" setting affects the ISO/noise, I recorded the ISO sweep at the default of "dynamic range 100" (413 MB):

http://www.nowozin.net/sebastian/tmp/Fuji-X70-ISO-Sweep.7z

I ensured the histogram covers the whole range, but I am not sure whether the ISO images are satisfactory for the noise level estimation. Let me know if you need additional recordings or if I made some silly mistake :-)

There is a README inside both archives that places these files in the public domain.
Thank you for your support of Darktable!

Thanks. The WB ones are fine and have been added. The noise ones won't work. We need images that have all the way from complete black to complete white. These are not clipping yet. The easiest way to do these is to go into a dark room with a lamp and take pictures with the lamp in the frame. That way you'll have very dark areas and completely white areas (the lamp). We also don't need the JPGs.

I updated the ISO noise profile sweeps to include entirely black regions and clipped highlight regions (300 MB):

Please let me know if these works.

Closer, but still not underexposed enough. Just lower the exposure by a stop or two, the lamp in the picture should make sure we still have overexposed areas.

Thanks Pedro!

Ok, here is one more attempt (at -2 EV). From the histogram I am fairly sure there are entirely black/underexposed regions:
