Description

1. The Fujifilm X100T camera has the same sensor, processor and lens as its predecessor, the Fuji X100T. I have a Fuji X100S and have just purchased a Fuji X100T. I would like to provide the necessary files for DT to support it. I am attaching files produced using different Fuji X100T white balance presets. (The last file was produced using Auto WB.) The camera firmware is 1.11 (the most recent firmware).

2. Which other files should I provide for the Fujifilm X100T camera be supported by DT?

Thank you.

It seems the sensor is indeed the same even though the WB

basecurve: copy X100S to X100T

Like with the noise profile reuse the basecurve as

The sensors do seem to be the same (same color matrix at least) but the wb presets at least are different so I've added these now. Thanks for the sample files.

It would be nice if you could provide one of these sample files (the auto WB one would be fine) to rawsamples.ch.

Other than that the other support we could add would be the noise profile. We could potentially just copy the X100S profile and see if it works well. If you want to test that you can just edit /usr/share/darktable/noiseprofiles.json and duplicate the X100S lines and rename them X100T. Alternatively we can generate a new profile given sample shots. For that we need one raw file per ISO level, fully out of focus, and including completely black and completely white areas.

Pedro:

1. Yesterday, I uploaded (ftp) two Fuji X100T RAW files to rawsamples.ch . I then emailed them giving permission to make the two files publicly available.
2. The Fujifilm X100S base curve works great for X100T images. (Both cameras have the same sensor, processor and lens.) I suggest renaming it to Fujifilm X100S/X100T and making it available to both cameras.
3. I am attaching RAW files produced using the Fuji X100T for denoise profiling. The camera base ISO is 200. Maximum native ISO is 6400. (I am attaching files that use ISO 200 up to 1600. I will attach the remaining files in a separate comment.)

If there is anything I can do to help just let me know.

Francisco

I am attaching the remaining Fujifilm X100T RAW files for denoise profiling (ISO 2000 up to 6400).

Thanks for doing these but we'll need new ones. It seems the black areas aren't black enough. You should make sure there's clipping at both ends of the histogram.

#5 Updated by Francisco Cribari over 4 years ago

Pedro: I decided to follow your alternative suggestion. In /usr/share/darktable/noiseprofiles.json I duplicated the X100S lines and renamed them X100T. I then tested the denoise profiled module on several X100T images. It works exactly as it does in X100S images. That would be expected since the two cameras have the same sensor and the same processor. My suggestion then is to replicate for the X100T the denoise profiled the settings that DT has for the X100S.

I also suggest doing that for the Fuji X100S base curve. It works great for X100T images.

What do you think of such suggestions? F.

Pedro: One final thing: I have contributed a Fuji X100T RAW (.RAF) file to rawsamples.ch . See

http://rawsamples.ch/index.php/en/changelog

and

http://rawsamples.ch/index.php/en/fuji

Nonetheless, this info is missing in the following table:

https://www.darktable.org/resources/camera-support/

(notice the "NO" in the first column: RAW SAMPLE).

Yeah, I poked Jakob yesterday and he updated rawsamples.ch with the latest submissions. I've now updated our support page to match that.
