You can also select any other ratio after opening the combobox and typing it in the form of <quote>x:y</quote>. If you want a certain aspect ratio to be added to the pre-defined ones you can do so by including a line of the form <programlisting format="linespecific">plugins/darkroom/clipping/extra_aspect_ratios/foo=x:y </programlisting> into darktable's configuration file <filename moreinfo="none">$HOME/.config/darktable/darktablerc</filename>. Here <quote>foo</quote> defines the name of the new aspect ratio and <quote>x</quote> and <quote>y</quote> the corresponding numerical values.

2)
<filename moreinfo="none">darktable-viewer</filename> uses OpenGL to produce soft transitions between images. Although OpenGL and OpenCL (see <xref linkend="darktable_and_opencl"/>) are designed to cooperate flawlessly, there have been reports about problems with certain setups. If <filename moreinfo="none">darktable-viewer</filename> crashes upon startup, please try to use it without OpenCL support: <programlisting format="linespecific">darktable-viewer --core --disable-opencl </programlisting>
