Description

During my darktable course I see that many people have problems with the watermark. Creating an SVG is daunting for many. So I'd like to introduce a simple text watermark in the current module. Instead of choosing it will be possible to enter a text and a font and use that instead of the SVG. Not sure how easy...

How does that sounds?

Just thinking loud here:
What about adding one new variable to the watermark module, for example $(USER_STRING), have an input box in the module to enter that string (and put it into params) and ship a tiny SVG with dt that just uses that variable. That wouldn't allow to specify the font or color, but might be enough. Actually, with some minor manual editing of the SVG we could even specify the font as $(FONT) in the SVG and have a font chooser in the watermark gui. Going through an SVG has the benefit that others can make use of these variables, too, and we don't have to think about text rendering, layout, ... and can just use rsvg to have consistent results with the current watermarks.

Whaou! That's definitely a great idea! Indeed should be easier I think. Let me try this path. Thanks a lot for the feedbacks Tobias.
