Description

My camera Panasonic DMC-TZ71 is currently not supported. Darktable opens the rw2 file but cannot process it. In the dropbox

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/80ljlgfan6oak0k/AADAhIBdTIF3DlQY-OrE96dJa?dl=0

you can find rw2 files for 4:3, 16:9, 1:1 and 3:2 with low ISO.

Should any other files be needed, just say so.

  • Affected Version changed from 1.6.7 to git development version
  • Status changed from New to In Progress
  • Target version set to Candidate for next minor release
  • % Done changed from 0 to 50

Basic support was added with this commit:

https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/commit/3ee7f6dd018a6755861ca2c4abbcc65c22b1b1de

We'd appreciate it if you also submitted the same files to rawsamples.ch. You can also shoot one file per whitebalance preset to make those presets available in the color temperature module.

Thanks! I made some shoots with all available white-balance presets. They can be found under

An email to rawsamples.ch is also sent.

Thanks, the WB presets are now in this commit:

https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/commit/35bb2848d56e0e300f162fb1393635fc0dba5cde

This is pretty much the simple support for the camera done so I'll close the bug report. We can still add a custom matrix, a noise profile and a custom base curve but those are more nice-to-have kind of features. See this page for details:

http://www.darktable.org/resources/camera-support/

Thanks again for the files and for submitting them to rawsamples.ch.

that was fast. Thanks!

We have this pretty well scripted by now, so going from sample files to camera support is just a few commands away. I forgot to mention that this should be included whenever we release 1.6.8. Given roughly monthly releases that should be out in just a couple of weeks.
