Description

Example file as requested by Pedro.

Please not, this differs from the F900EXR RAF in only

a) the camera name string, "600" rather than "900"

and

b) the specific camera ID number unique to each camera.

I've tried uploading .RAF files but get "error".
I dodn’t know why

History

#1 Updated by Pedro Côrte-Real over 3 years ago

  • Status changed from New to Incomplete
  • Tracker changed from Bug to Camera Support
  • Subject changed from Darktable fails with FUJIFILE F600EXR due to use of rawspeed to Support for Fuji F600EXR
  • % Done changed from 0 to 20
  • Affected Version changed from 1.6.0 to git development version

As I've mentioned multiple times already without a sample file there's nothing we can do. If uploading here doesn't work please provide a link to a file somewhere else (e.g., dropbox, google drive, etc).

I tried THREE times top upload three different files and each time Redmine errored out about 25% of the way though and restarted then aborted at about 25% of the way though on the second attempt.

Each of those times.

I've just tried it again with another couple of files.

.... 24M file, says max is 39M.

Oops error again. DSCF0449.RAF DSCF0484.RAF

If you know of some other way that I can upload the file please let me know about it.

GIVEN that you have the file definition for the 900 and that except for the name and individual camera ID#, why can't you use what you already have? You have, above, the definitions.

We need an actual sample file so we can get from it (and from a DNG converted version of it) the metadata for this specific camera (white and black point, bayer pattern, color matrix). We can't do that without a file from this specific camera. Please just share a public dropbox link in the bug report and we'll take the file from there.

As I've already mentioned in the past I'd really appreciate it if you'd stop sending me personal email. For the record here's the dropbox link I got:

  • Status changed from Incomplete to In Progress
  • Target version changed from Candidate for next patch release to Candidate for next minor release
  • % Done changed from 20 to 50

Basic support has been added in this commit:

https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/commit/094e251f3dc87001bb888242668b97507f63439e

Hopefully this makes the cut for darktable 1.6.7.

If you can please submit the same or another file from the same camera to rawsamples.ch so there's an available sample for regression testing in the future.

Being unfamiliar with dropbox I had to follow the forms and they asked for an email address of who to share it with. Naively, I just followed what they suggested.

Perhaps you know dropbox better and could have avoided that. I might need to use dropbox again, perhaps in a couple of years time ... if ever.

As to why Redmine is no longer accepting uploads ... that's another matter.
If it had accepted my attempts at uploading we wouldn't be having this dance.
What's the problem there? Has it been deliberately turned off or is this some other kind of error with Redmine?

#8 Updated by Pascal de Bruijn over 3 years ago

  • Target version changed from Candidate for next minor release to Candidate for next patch release
  • Status changed from In Progress to Fixed
  • % Done changed from 50 to 100

So, we managed to pull this into 1.6.7, our (new) current stable release.
