Description

Description of the problem:

An infinity process is started when a photo from “_Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL_” is opened in Darktable 1.6.3 darkroom.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any CRW image taken with “Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL”
2. Switch to darkroom.
-> A Never-ending message "Working..." is displayed.

Next time the attempt to open the same photo results in a marked as unreadable image in the ligthtable.
There was no such problems with Darktable 1.2.3.

Works fine here.
Is there any additional steps, like some history entries?

Darktable 1.2.3 is really really ancient, and we used LibRaw back then, which meant we were accidentally supporting a lot of cameras we didn't even know about. We've been moving to RawSpeed since. During this migration it's conceivable we may have broken support for a very small number of old cameras.

But it seems fine in our darktable-1.6.x maintenance branch as well...

So presumably this issue has already been fixed in both our development branch and our maintenance branch.

If all goes well we'll be releasing darktable-1.6.4 somewhere next month.

The removing of
/.cache/darktable
/.config/darktable

does not help.

Messages from terminal:

This was fixed in this commit:

https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/commit/826152bc3564e74133680cc53e69e040d3663b47

When 1.6.4 comes out the camera will work again.
